Helly Hansen S/S 18

Founded by Norwegian Sailor Helly Juel Hansen in 1877, the brand has a rich history of designing garments made for the use at sea. Helly Hansens’ unique feature was it, to apply linseed oil to the jackets in order to make them more resistant to wind and water. Ever since they have been outfitting professionals in high-performance gear.

But over the past few years it was the street culture that adopted and influenced the brands origin. Reason enough for the brand to dig in the archives and to release the best pieces from the past, updated with every detail the streets require and featured with every proven technology the brand stands for.

The latest Spring/Summer ’18 Collection features a modern take on their most iconic Sailing Jacket, the Ervik Rain Coat desgined with Helly Tech weather protection and the Pile Fleece Jacket with a traditional knit sweater look. Of course the collection contains their iconic Logo T-Shirts in a variety of original colours as well as complementary Headwear such as the Summer Beanie. We took the line to a local market in the streets of Berlin and weather approved the whole collection in an urban environment.
